COD4 Console Commands & CFGs

To enable the console: Go to Options > Game Options > Enable Console and set it to Yes. Press the tilde key (~), usually located above the Tab key, to open the console.

General Commands

1. /Disconnect
   
2. /Reconnect
   
3. /Connect (then enter the IP address to your favorite server)
   
4. /quit

To improve performance, you can utilize the commands below.

1. /cg_drawfps 1 Displays FPS counter.
   
2. /cg_drawlagometer 1
   
3. /com_maxfps 125 Sets maximum FPS.
   
4. /cg_fov 80 Adjusts field of view.
   
5. /r_drawdecals 0 Turns off decals for minor FPS boost.
   
6. /maxpackets 100
   
7. /r_drawsun 0
   
8. /cg_brass 0 Turns off shell ejection for FPS boost.
   
9. /sm_enable 0 Turns off shadows for significant FPS boost.
   
10. /cl_packetdup 1
    
    
    

These commands will help you explore COD4 on your own server. You can discover new areas of maps, and test weapons. To create a server follow the screenshots listed.

Once you have setup your server. You can execute the commands listed in "Having fun offline".

1. God mode - /god
   
2. God mode - /demigod
   
3. No clip - /noclip
   
4. Recieve every weapon - /give all
   
5. Full ammunition - /player_sustainammo 1
   
6. Add a laser sight - /cg_LaserForceOn 1
   
7. Enemies ignore you - /notarget
   
8. Change maps - /devmap mp_crash (insert the map title)
   
9. Set gravity; default is "39" - /jump_height [number]
   
10. Set speed; default is "1.00" - /timescale [number]
    
11. Better vision - /r_fullbright 1

To execute these maps, type /devmap (then the map name of your choosing) into your console.
