Events Guide
Introductory Notes - Start Here
Welcome to the guide! I've done my best to keep things concise, but I've also included my own commentary or notes when it doesn't seem like that's possible, or more explanation is needed. Generally, parts in italics are my own notes to you, the reader.
Each section is titled with the sub-title of the event first, then the name of the event. I opted for this because it seems like they intend for the sub-title to be something like a category. For example, all "Death Guard Fleet" events have the same subtitle, with differing titles depending on the ship. After that I alphabetized the list, but moved all Grand Master Reports to the bottom and put those in the order I encountered them. If all else fail, use the shortcut combination of CTRL and F to search the guide. If you can't find it, it's not in the guide yet, so leave a comment!
Special Considerations:- In Death Guard Fleet events, the enemy ship's Gun Battery strength is seemingly RANDOM. Additionally, the type of ship is not determined until the Edict actually bumps into it.
- Because of the random battery strength, your exact results may vary when choosing the option that in my screenshots may say "The enemy vessel is outclassed." Keep in mind that just because you outclass the enemy vessel, you may not avoid any negative outcomes. In some cases of my testing so far I've still suffered injury to the Edict. In nearly all of my own testing, I had level 3 Gun Batteries and level 3 Void Shields or better.
- Lastly, the amount of damage you receive to the Edict as a result of an encounter may also be slightly random. In most of my events I had only 1 point reported, but in at least one case a user took 2 points instead. If I had to speculate it may be related to the difference in Gun Battery level, or yet more randomness..
- Grand Master Reports have a degree of randomness to them. I've include the day that I encountered them, as well as any key events that may have happened prior, in the title. Yours will almost certainly vary depending on how quickly or slowly you proceed through the story objectives, and probably your mission performance.
- Based on observations from numerous players, it seems that events that involve a "random" Knight that aren't filtering on other factors, often choose from the highest ranks. There is still definitely some randomness, but the pool it draws from may in fact be the highest ranked 4-6 knights.
Lastly, if anyone is smart enough to simply data mine all of this information, you'd be my hero. I have no idea how to even begin doing something like that. You would receive full credit, naturally.
Thank you for reading, and good hunting!
A Paladin's Quest - Call to Glory
Arrival - A Promising Lead
All information in this section courtesy of bryan_cs_liew. Thanks! This entire event is apparently either bugged or extremely random, as they tried several of the options multiple times with different and conflicting results.
Event occurred at random. In order to trigger the choice you must travel to the planet indicated by the Inquisitor.
+1 Grimoire
5% Passive Resistance to all Knights (Permanent!)
This option occasionally would not award the resistance bonus despite what it said.
You get nothing.
-2 Corruption at Planet
Apparently discussion about this event says this may be a buggy option as well. From one report it was said that nothing happened, from another, more recent, it says there was -2 Corruption.
A Risky Find - Space Hulk
2 Random Knights Wounded
2 Random Knight Lightly Wounded
+2 Requisition
+2 Requisition
Thanks to Solanis for this information! Apparently a Death Guard ship is hiding inside it. Definitely not the space kinder egg you wanted! According to another user, Fetch, they took this option and did NOT suffer any damage with level 3 Guns and level 2 Voids. Like many of the other Open Fire equivalent options, there may or may not be some degree of variability to the outcome depending on your upgrades.
A new Death Guard cruiser appears on the map.
Artefact Recovered - A Fortuitous Find
I received a T2 Psilencer, although I had access to T3 equipment at the time.
Lunete Perceptive (45 days), +100% Construction Speed

Death Guard Fleet - Cloud of Flies

Ironic that the event about a cloud of bugs has such an obvious bug of its own.

Enemy Cruiser Destroyed

It seems like there's a bug with the flavor text on this outcome. It says my Void shields are "Level 1" but I had the second level of research at the time it happened. If I had to guess, it probably interpreted my current hull integrity (4/5) instead of maximum as what my Void level is. User Ash reported even more severe results when they ACTUALLY had level 1 voids, and suffered additional damage to their Libris Malleus.
Edict Retreats
-1 Requisition
Death Guard Fleet - Grappling Tactics
This event occurred when encountering a Death Guard ship.
5 Knights Wounded
4 Knights Lightly Wounded
-5 Servitors

Some new information from Diddums for this event outcome!
If encountered in a Warp Storm with greater gun and shield strength than opponent (and Gellar Field not upgraded):
-1 Hull Integrity
Guns Damaged and Offline
Enemy Cruiser Destroyed
+2 Requisition
Lunete Wounded (45 days), Construction costs +4 Servitors
Enemy Cruiser Retreats
Death Guard Fleet - Ram Incoming
+2 Requisition
Thanks to Eblingus for the following.
If Guns levels are equal between your ship and theirs:
-1 Hull
Augmentation Chamber Damaged (-4 Servitors, Servitor Production Offline)
Enemy Cruiser Destroyed
+2 Requisition
Damaged component may be random.
Enemy Cruiser Destroyed
+2 Requisition
In a case reported by VonBek, they also suffered -1 Hull and their Apothecarion was Damaged. They also had level 3 guns, but did not report the DG Ship gun level. It's possible if you aren't strong enough that this is the result.
3 Random Knights Wounded
Enemy Cruiser Destroyed
+2 Requisition
The flavor text for "You:..." does not reflect your choice or the follow-up text. Looks like a bug to me, but not a critical one.
Death Guard Fleet - The Dark Tongue
-1 to 7 Servitors
Enemy Cruiser Destroyed
+2 Requisition
There may be some randomness to the number of servitors lost.
Enemy Cruiser Destroyed
+2 Requisition
Thanks to officialron for this update!

Enemy Cruiser Destroyed
+2 Requisition
Death Guard Fleet - The Warp Passage
This event occurred when encountering a Death Guard ship.
+2 Requisition
Possibly related to the level of Engine upgrades, officialron was at 160% at the time of testing.
-1 Requisition
Gellerpox - The Edict Infected
-6 Servitors
Augmentation Chamber Damaged, Servitor Production Offline
Nothing else happened after this wait.
This is a suspiciously low key outcome considering everything else in the game. I've yet to see any long term repercussions to this choice. If anyone else has a different result, please let me know.
Glitchlings - The Edict Infected
Lunete On Assignment (5 days), Construction costs +4 Servitors
Lunete Wounded (30 days), Construction costs +4 Servitors
Gun batteries still damaged and offline.
Grand Master's Approval - A Reaper Banished
In every round of testing I received a piece of T3 equipment from the relevant category. On the surface this seems like a helpful event, but it's really kind of worthless. There's so many equipment categories that you're not likely to get something you want unless you're really hurting for ANY good equipment.
Grand Master's Request - A Captured Prince
Ectar On Assignment (30 days), Purity Seals cost +1 Seed
Unlike many similar outcomes, this one definitely takes the two knights who appear first on your roster who aren't wounded. Every time I tried it took the same two.
-2 Requisition
Grand Master's Request - Demands of Honour
May trigger after not taking any Deeds for a while on missions. Thanks Indrahim!
GM High Support (30 days), +1 Requisition from Deeds
Receive a quest to take all Glorious Deeds for 60 days.
On successful completion, receive GM High Support for an unknown, possibly permanent, duration.
Grand Master's Request - Surplus of Seeds
50% of Seeds destroyed
GM High Support (30 days), Deeds give +1 Requisition
GM High Support (60 days), Deeds give +1 Requisition
Ectar Zealous (60 days), +50% XP Growth Rate
Information courtesy of neeleyalex and screenshot from BloodM3ss, thank you!
Grand Master's Request - The Tournament
According to fairly extensive testing by BloodM3ss this event may require you to have at least 7 Knights in your barracks.
2 Knights Lightly Wounded
Knights High Morale (30 days), +1 Max WP on Missions
3 Knights Promoted
2 Knights Wounded
2 Knights Lightly Wounded
Knights High Morale (45 days), +1 Max WP on Missions
Ectar Zealous (45 days), +50% XP Growth Rate
Vakir Vexed (30 days), -50% Research Speed
There's a lot on this one, with a fairly minor cost. In my case the gained talent was Blademaster, which grants +5% CRIT for Melee Attacks. Unfortunately this was worthless since the Knight was a Purgator.
Last Gasp - An Enemy Within
Thanks to jenjm5 and Revalator for this info!
Presumably this event follows either The Assembly - An Enemy Within, and/or Sabotage - An Enemy Within.
Mechanicus Depot - Deep Damage
After the wait is over, construction on the previous project resumes immediately.
-5 Servitors
Ship Immobilized (5 days)
Construction Suspension Cancelled
-1 Hull Integrity
2 Ship Components Damaged
According to Whatsit Tooya, there may be a glitch with this route. They waited over 100 days and did NOT have their construction ever unlock. This would be effectively a game ender, or at least a major difficulty bump.
Mechanicus Storehouse - Servitors Depleted
+5 Servitors
Lose a Random(?) Storm Bolter
In my game, the one it took was equipped, but not of the highest tier I had available. I don't know what determines the surrendered gear.
Random Edict component Damaged
-1 Hull Integrity
Negotiations - A Needed Grimoire
4 Knights on Assignment (30 days)
Research Suspension Cancelled
Research Suspension Cancelled
GM Low Support (30 days), Armoury Locked
Research Suspension Cancelled
Request From Vakir - Faulty Equipment
All information in this section from Fear_ina_box. Thanks!
Happens at random during transit
Vakir wants a terminal repaired, and blames the Dominus for stalling on the repair, though the Dominus claims Vakir is physically abusing her acolytes, to which Vakir threatens far worse if she doesn't get what she wants.
Vakir Vexed (60 days), -50% Research Speed
Request From Vakir - Lost Seeds
Vakir Vexed (5 days), -50% Research Speed
Vakir Injured (30 days), Strategems Locked
Research Blocked - A Needed Grimoire
Need to go to a specific system. Check "Negotiations - A Needed Grimoire" if you take this route.
-3 Servitors
-1 Grimoire
Research Suspension Cancelled
Sabotage - An Enemy Within
This event seems to have occurred randomly
Lose ALL Servitors (Trias. lost TWENTY FIVE servitors. ALL is most likely not a fluke.
Construction Locked (60 days)
-3 Requisition
Construction Suspended (10 days)
After about a week a Cult is found and incinerated. No known other long term effects.
Approximately 30 days after the initial selection, a mission is received for a new event, "The Assembly - An Enemy Within." See its entry for further.
3 Knights On Assignment (10 days)
Cult discovered. No known other long term effects.
Safety Protocols - Seeds of Peril
This occurred randomly while traveling.
Instantly completes research. No known negative effects.
According to BluePariah, this caused nothing to happen with the research "Domination of Kadex." For another user, Diddums, it also failed to complete the "Torpor" research, which was NOT story based. A third user, Eblingus, also had this issue. This may be more complicated than it appears, or was changed in an update after the original reporting user completed it. There is a possibility this leads to the "Servitors Corrupted - Seeds of Peril" event.
Vakir Vexed (60 days), -50% Research Speed
For Pepe these were their two highest ranked knights. It's unlikely it was random given the choice, but they were unable to investigate further.
Servitors Corrupted - Seeds of Peril
All information in this section thanks to Diddums! They suspect that this event may have occurred because they chose the "Time" option in the previous Seeds of Peril event.
Immediate outcome: -5 Servitors
Shrouded in Storms - Anomaly Detected
The flavor text claimed that the Edict was teleported to a different planet in the sector, but upon returning to the map the ship hadn't moved. The planet, however, was replaced by Ferrogar VI, and had no Corruption. As I do not have access to any other sectors at time of writing, I'm unable to verify if Ferrogar VII disappeared to the Florian system as the effect claims.
Thanks to Raziel of Nosgoth for this new information on this event! Great research on their part! I will copy paste their explanation below, as it's well written.
Seems to switch two planets on the Star Map. For me it was the left-most planet Hagan VII (4 corruption) for the right-most planet Fides VI (0 corruption).
If you put a Prognosticar on the planet before the switch is made the Prognosticar will remain in the same spot but the planets will still switch.
Any corruption reducing effects will stick to the planet: Hagan VII was reduced from 4 corruption to 2 corruption by attuning with a Prognosticar before the switch. Hagan VII remained at 2 corruption after the switch. However, the Prognosticar was still in the left-most spot (Hagan VII's original position), now occupied by Fides VI, still at it's original 0 corruption.
Same as Bypass
-1 Hull Integrity
Two random Knights are Wounded
Ectar Wounded (30 days), +1 Seed Cost for Purity Seals
Random Loot (I received T2 loot, it is not known if this varies by unlocked Requisition Tiers)
In my opinion, this is the most favorable option early on, assuming you are willing to suffer the wounds to your knights and the increased cost for Purity Seal Upgrades.
This will result in an Exterminatus on the world.
Edict Immobilized (10 days)
GM Low Support (30 days), Armoury Locked
In my opinion, this is the least favorable option.
The Apothecarion - Over Capacity
3 Knights Battle-Ready
Other Wounded Knights moved closer to Battle Readiness by 20-30 days.
Thanks Fear_ina_box for this information!
Random Apothecary On Assignment (30 days)
The Assembly - An Enemy Within
This is a follow up to "Sabotage - An Enemy Within" depending on your choice there. Other choices may lead to a further questline. Look at other events including the title "An Enemy Within" for further.
Ectar Wounded (30 days), +1 Seed cost for Purity Seals
Augurium Damaged - Prognosticars Offline
-5 Servitors
Chance for a Knight to be Wounded
Construction Suspended (60 days), 0% Construction Speed
Lose ALL Servitors
The Duel - A Champion
This event may occur at random.
Knight Lightly Wounded
Knight Wounded
Knights Low Morale (30 days), -1 Max WP
Thanks Solanis for this information! Pasted their results directly above here. Lacking further clarification, I would assume the +1 WP all Knights receive is related to the High Morale and NOT permanent.
The Emperor's Peace - Battle Scars
This event occurred randomly while a knight is (critically?) wounded.
It seems pretty obvious, however. This is the Space Marine version of putting them out of their misery and there's no dreadnoughts in this game to inter the fallen.
Resilience set to 1
Max HP -2
With less than fully upgraded Apothecarion:
Knight died.
According to Ash they only had the first Apothecarion upgrade, "Surgical Unit." It's possible but unknown if higher levels of repairs would have improved the outcome. It is now CONFIRMED that a fully upgraded Apothecary will result in a positive outcome here. User Lady Loranda went with this option and provided a screenshot.
With upgraded Apothecarion:
Knight is Battle Ready
Knight gains +2 Resilience
The Hive - Anomaly Detected
According to his data this event may need a world with at least 2 points of Corruption. Occurred while arriving at a planet.
Planet gains +5 Corruption
2 Knights Lightly Wounded
Hive destroyed
Gun Battery Damaged - Guns Offline
GM Low Support (Until next report), Armoury Locked
At the report, received +2 Requisition as the GM Agreed with the course taken.
The Prognosticars Speak - A Solitary Duty
4 Knights On Assignment (45 days)
After they get back: -2 Requisition
There appears to be a bug for this option. It says that it needs 4 Battle-Ready Knights, but I had 9 and it still was locked.
After they get back: +1 Level and New random Talent
GM High Support (45 days), +1 Requisition for Deeds
Thanks to dv for some added information on this result!
The Wayward Pupil - Unauthorized Access
Information in this section is thanks to Solanis, Dembo and Pepe!
Trigger: Possibly due to starting repair of warp drive (which sounds unrelated but was last action I took; might also be due to having a lot of servitors (40))
Lunete Perceptive (30 days), +100% Construction Speed
Current Construction Cancelled
Unanticipated Storm - A Risky Course
Edict Immobilized (3 days)
-1 Hull Integrity
-1 Hull Integrity if Gellar Field not upgraded.
I had my Gellar Field fully upgraded at the time that I took this choice. There may be negative consequences if you do not.
Edit: Thanks to PotatoLord for risking his Edict for science! Added the conditional to this.
Vakir Wounded (20 days), Strategems Locked
Vagaries of the Warp - Unstable Course
Thanks Dirkradix for this information!
-1 Hull Integrity
Augurium Damaged, Prognosticars Offline
Vakir Demands Access - Forbidden Tome
Warp Storm Hazard - Erratic Servitors
-4 Servitors (possibly a random amount)
If Gellar Field repaired: Nothing happens.
If Not: -1 Servitor
Lunete Wounded (20 days) - +4 Servitor Costs
Warp Storm Hazard - Resonant Seeds
Information in this section thanks to Ash and Diddums!
Occurs while passing through a warp storm.
No effect.
If not:
1 Seed Destroyed
Vakir Wounded (20 days) - Strategems Locked
Grand Master Report, Day 91, Initial Report
Information in this section courtesy of Pepe! It was their second report. If I remember correctly it was an early one for me as well, prior to me starting the guide. There isn't a screenshot of the choices and dialogue but if I remember correctly the GM was unconvinced of the severity of the Plague, and you had an option to send him a Seed or try to convince him other ways.
Additional information provided by Sral93, helping to round out the options and outcomes. Thank you both!
Knights +50% XP
Vakir Vexed (45 days), -50% Research Speed
On day 151 you will receive the Option 2 report.
Screenshot and information thanks to Pepe!
Random un-Wounded Apothecary On Assignment (45 days)
Grand Master Report, Day 151, Follow Up
If previous report had information sent by an Apothecary, +2 Requisition and a selection below. See option 2 if you sent a Seed.
According to BloodM3ss it may be randomly chosen between this and Option 2, regardless of your previous choice.
Grand Master Report, Day 151, Follow Up (Option 2)
If you choose to send a Seed after the previous report, this is the outcome. The GM is much less impressed.
According to BloodM3ss it may be randomly chosen between this and Option 2, regardless of your previous choice.
User Eveoholic had the exact opposite outcome for this choice in this event, and received +1 Requisition. It's not immediately clear what caused the difference.
Lunete Perplexed (45 days), -50% Construction Speed
+10 Servitors
A rare bait and switch. At first you think Lunete is going to get a bonus, but then the GM just craps all over everything as he often does.
Ectar Zealous (45 days), +50% XP Growth
Grand Master Report, Day 211, After Usa'rya
This report was made on day 211, some time after completing the story mission at Usa'rya. Your exact timing may vary as far as the day, but I suspect it will always happen immediately following Usa'rya.
GM High Support (60 days), +1 Requisition from Deeds (not pictured)
Grand Master Report, Day 211/271, After Usa'rya (Option 2)
Default: +2 Requisition
Ectar Zealous (30 days), +100% XP Growth Rate
Unusually, the dialogue window immediately closed after the conversation and I did not have an opportunity to screenshot it.
Ectar Indignant, -50% XP Growth Rate
Thanks to Rieffen for this information!
Ectar Indignant, -50% XP Growth Rate
Lunete Perceptive, +100% Construction Speed
Thanks to S4R1N, Indrahim and alsoalpharius for this information!
+50% Research Speed (Permanent)
Inquisitor Focused (60 days), +100% Research Speed
Update: Apologies to Invictus for having to discover this. I apologize for the oversight here, but it would appear that taking the Prognosticar option DOES HAVE A COST. If you don't have any sitting idle, then it removes an ACTIVE Prognosticar from your map. USE THIS OPTION WITH CAUTION.
I had the opportunity to verify this choice myself. As of Update IV the bug appears to still be active and you can choose the Prognosticar option despite not having any available, and seemingly without penalty.
Thanks to Video Games? for this information. There appears to be a possible glitch with this option in that it does not require any available Prognosticars nor does it subtract one, so it may be free. If so this is a clear, standout choice.
Grand Master Report, Day 331, Hoarding Equipment!
Ectar On Assignment (15 days), Purity Seals cost +1 Seed
Ouch. There is no benefit to this outcome, aside from simply not having the downsides of the other two. I waited the 60 days to see if the returned Knights would have any new talents and they had nothing to show for their time away.
Quest: Destroy a Reaper in 60 days
Grand Master Report, Day 391, OUR Resources
Vakir Vexed (45 days), -50% Research Speed
Low Support Cancelled (If you had it)
-15 Servitors
Lunete Perplexed (45 days), -50% Construction Speed
GM Low Support Cancelled
4 Knights On Assignment (90 days)
GM Low Support Cancelled
GM Low Support (60 days), Armoury Locked
Grand Master Report, Day 451, Too Slow; For Shame
According to Asurea, they received this report on day 511, AFTER killing their 2nd Reaper. It seems this may appear somewhat at random.
Understandably vexed.
Jeez, spare Vakir some unfounded accusations and not a peep.
Grand Master Report, Day 511, An Abundance of Caution
+4 Requisition
GM Low Support Cancelled (If present)
Ectar Indignant (60 days), -50% XP Growth
Beats me why Ectar is upset. He makes no comments about the matter. I confirmed after the briefing that the effect was present.
GM eats crow. Very satisfying.
Grand Master Report, Day 571, Null Ship Gambit
The screenshot shows the SAME piece of equipment there times, but this is a glitch. I assume they intended for there to be 3 separate armaments but unfortunately it is not.
This seems the most helpful if you're actually in good shape at this point in the campaign, especially since certain seed sources will be drying up as you kill Reapers.
