Synthesis Target Locations
Summary (Please read this!)
The information in this guide is constantly changing. Due to this, some information may be missing or incomplete.
!!! Please note that some Synthesis Targets will only spawn on Steel Path missions, or only on normal or sometimes both!
Look out for Steel Path mission icon
Equip Synthesis Scanner before mission
Remember, you MUST have at least 1 Synthesis Scanner in your gear wheel in order to have a chance of spawning a Synthesis Target (Codex Scanners will not spawn a Synthesis Target and cannot be used to scan one either). If you do not have it equipped then the target will never spawn.
Spawn conditions when starting missions
For your Synthesis Target to spawn at all, you MUST either be the host of the mission (solo, party) or load into the mission at the same time as the host (party, luck).
If the host also has a Synthesis Target then their target will spawn and not your own! If not the host, but another player in the squad has a Target and they load into the mission quicker than you, then their Synthesis Target will spawn instead of your own. For this reason it is recommended to do these missions solo in order to guarantee a chance of your Synthesis Target spawning.
Please do not count "didn't spawn" attempts when you are unsure of circumstances (not host/not solo). Your statistics are only 100% accurate if you start solo.

Mission's faction changes during Invasion
There're sometimes special mission events called "Invasion". Invasions simulate fights between two factions. If the percentage% reaches 100%, the faction will change to the winner and show "Occupying". For example, if the Corpus invaded Sedna/Rusalka and won (100%), then instead of finding Grineer in the mission, you will find Corpus in the mission.
This affects target spawning. If you needed a Grineer synthesis target, and it had a chance of spawning, it will no longer spawn there until it changes back to the regular Grineer mission after 24 hours of being occupied by the Corpus.Image to illustrate[imgur.com]

Multiple spawns are useless during Invasion
During a 'post-invasion' event, (allowing different mobs to spawn from different factions) there is a chance that multiples of your synthesis target may spawn (Just happened to me with 3x 'Drahk Master' spawning at 'Shklovsky - Phobos').When this happens even if you capture multiple targets you will only receive credit for one.
Free Simaris Standing
You can also receive Cephalon Simaris Standing from Synthesis Targets spawned by other players in the party. To do this, after all of the Target points are scanned, you must remain within affinity range (50 meters) of the last Target, as the target begins to de-materialize, wait there until the standing is awarded. Although you do not have to scan anything yourself, you must have a Synthesis Scanner in your gear wheel to receive the standing.

"Unconfirmed":
Synthesis Target missions listed below as "(Unconfirmed)" only mean the Synthesis Targets on said mission have only been confirmed by users in the comments. This, however, does not mean that the information is incorrect. It will be updated once one of the verified contributors to this guide have verified the results.
Thank you to all of those who have contributed to this guide! Enjoy Lotus on a pile of Orokin potatoes...

How to get a Synthesis Target
Players who have completed The New Strange[wiki.warframe.com] and the Stolen Dreams[wiki.warframe.com] quests can ask Cephalon Simaris for Daily Synthesis Tasks, which assigns the player to synthesize a personal Synthesis target a set number of times. This Synthesis Target is a specially marked unit similar to the community Synthesis Target, but is otherwise separate from the latter.
To activate the task, players must ask Cephalon Simaris in the Sanctuary with the prompt "Do you have any targets?", which will then display the designated target, and the rewards upon completion. The quest is completed once the target has been scanned the required number of times, and the player returns to speak to Simaris with the prompt "I have completed the synthesis".
The daily Synthesis Target mission can only be completed once per day. It resets at 00:00 GMT (Greenwich Mean Time), then a new target can be acquired by speaking to Cephalon Simaris again. If you still have the Synthesis Taget mission open (not yet scanned or received rewards) before the reset, you will not be able to pick up a new mission until you complete the ongoing mission and wait until the next daily reset (00:00 GMT).
How to capture a Synthesis Target
Synthesis ScannerMain article: Synthesis Scanner[wiki.warframe.com]
If a community or daily Synthesis Target can be found on a mission, Cephalon Simaris will announce the presence of a Synthesis Target and ask the player to capture the target using the Synthesis Scanner, a special scanning device exclusive to Cephalon Simaris.
Scanning objects and enemies will grant the player Cephalin SimarisStanding[wiki.warframe.com], where the amount of Standing awarded is scaled with the enemy level[wiki.warframe.com] (so think about the Steel Path!) and will multiply further if a stealth scan is successfully performed. Successful synthesis of the Synthesis Target will also grant extra amounts of Standing.
Kinetic Siphon TrapsMain article: Kinetic Siphon Trap[wiki.warframe.com]
Kinetic Siphon Traps can assist in Synthesis Scanning by temporarily suspending Synthesis Targets in stasis, ceasing their movements for a short period of time. They can be deployed by throwing near a Target and will automatically take effect. Each Kinetic Siphon Trap lasts four seconds.
Tip: Use your Warframe's abilities instead.Synthesis TargetsWhen entering a mission that contains a Synthesis Target, Simaris will announce its presence. They must then use their Syththesis Scanner and zoom in (RMB), revealing a blue and orange path trail, with the orange end pointing to the direction of the target. Once the target is found, Simaris will notify the player that they have found the target, which will then be marked with a unique waypoint.Despite their high durability, it is still possible to kill a Synthesis Target. As the objective is to scan and not kill, Simaris will warn players if they manage to sufficiently injure one, and will angrily reprimand them if they succeed in killing it before completing Synthesis.
Synthesis Targets are capable of deploying different special abilities, which unlock upon their first node being scanned. They can use these abilities to impede player attempts at scanning them, whether by dealing damage or enhancing their chances at evading the player. A Synthesis Target can only have one particular ability at a time, and the ability they receive will be random.
Scanning pointsEquip a Synthesis Scanner[wiki.warframe.com] from your gear wheel, and point it at the four Synthesis Target's glowing scanning points. Hold the LMB while aiming at each of the points to begin scanning them. Once all four have been scanned the target will begin to dematerialize until it has completely vanished. Shortly afterwards you will be rewarded with Cephalon Simaris standing if you are not currently at the maximum. You must stay near the target to receive the standing.
