William F. Guile (Pronounced Guh-lee) is a millitary man from the millitary. He was born in Belgium, but moved to the United States. He is friends with Carlos Blanka (Charlie for short), and Cammy. He hates that M. Sonhovabeech Bison.

Yes. You are a wuss if you don't play Guile, and you hate America. Guile is the only character in the game for people who like freedom, and aren't cowards. The only reason you should play other characters is to get enough points to unlock Guile.

- Best theme song in the game
- Isn't lame like Remy
- Has two special moves. Better than one special move.
- Strong defense
- Pretty good at offense too
- Long combos
- Takes skill
- Has hot Aussie popstar/commando girlfriend

Disadvantages:
- Is a working man, so life is never easy for you
- Bison wants to kill you, and so do all his friends
- Since Guile is the best character in the game, haters are going to hate you.

*Sonic Boom
Sonic Boom is a good move. Some people can go through Sonic Boom, or jump over it. That's why you have other moves.

*Flash Kick
If anyone jumps, do this move. In fact, if you're ahead, just sit there, wait, and flash kick through every attack they do. works 100% of the time.

*F+HP
Spam this move if you want to win the game.

*Sweep
This move hits twice. Even though it's unsafe, your opponent will get tricked by the second hit, so it'll knock them down anyways. You can do this whenever you want and they'll never punish it.

*Handcuffs
Guile's best move. Puts the opponent in handcuffs, and lets you attack them as much as you want. Do the handcuffs glitch by doing Flash Kick, but instead of pressing kick, you do a grab. On top of this, you must press lp a frame before lk, or it won't work. This only works if you dizzy your opponent with a single combo.

You both play Guile. This should be a cakewalk. Ryu is all around, which means he has all weaknesses. Take advantage of this by using any strategy you can think of. Guile's brother in law is no pushover. You can beat Ken by reminding him to go home and be a family man. It's not ok to hit women. Let Chun-Li win. Like above, it's not ok to hit women. Lucky for you, Sonic Boom isn't a punch. You should be able to keep her out with literally that and Flash Kick, which is OK, because it is also not a punch. After the results of the 2016 election, Russia is officially a part of the USA. If you let Zangief win this match, you will recieve a vodka, 1000 ruble, an autographed photo of Donald Trump, and a thank you letter from Vladamir Putin. Dhalsim players all use drugs. Bring out a lot of food, and they'll get munchies. This distraction will make it impossible for them to beat you. Has science gone too far? Guile: "Next I make you dead one" Honestly, I don't know who this is. People tell me it's Charlie, but Charlie is a green monster lol.
I will update this guide when we know his identity, but until now, fight him like he's Frankenstein. You aren't allowed to punch women, but technically you aren't supposed to punch anyone in wrestling. Take a page out of Brock Lesnar's playbook, and suplex R. Mika over and over again. Birdie against Air Force pilot? This speaks for itself. One thing is for certain: Karin has absolutely zero moves that go over or through your fireballs, and you should probubly throw them without thinking of any possible counter-strategies. Sean's sister right? Not a threat. FANG players like to equip the "Viral Heart Disease" capsule. Make sure you use the "vaccine" capsule against him. What is this, Dragon Ball Fighterz? Rashid's scouter must be defective, because if he could see Guile's power level, he'd be shaking. Easy fight. Do not underestimate Necalli. All Necalli players are jerks who hold back until the end of the fight in which they use his Super Sayian 3 transformation. Maybe use the "Yakon" capsule? You're a more experienced soldier, so use your advance millitary tactics, like spamming Sonic Boom, and the most deadly millitary art, the suplex. Make sure to block low, as Ibuki's neck breaker slide move is really annoying. Use crouch tech option selelct on wakeup against her vortex. If things get really bad, use wakeup Ultra 1 and hope for the best. Use a kick. It will confuse Balrog so much that he'll give up. This is a hard fight, as Juri's zoning game has only gotten better since the SF4 series, and she's got great normals to play footsies with. On top of that, you can't punch her because she's a girl, but her kicks are better than yours. I'd say try the Handcuffs, but she might like that. Impossible. In previous Street Fighter games Urien was a hard matchup for Guile, but he has one weakness: Aegis Booster. Aegis Booster is a big purple shield that boosts the strength of all fireballs that go through it. If you see this move, throw as many Sonic Booms as you possibly can at it. Akuma is made of paper. Sonic Blade is kinda like scissors, but made of lasers, so you should be able to cut him in half easy. Watch out for his hug of death move. This lady stole your crouching roundhouse. Prove that yours is better by only using sweep. Her jump is hella fast, and you'll never be able to anti-air it, so be careful. You've got a better theme song, so there's no way you can lose. I've never seen anyone pick her, so I can't give any advice on this one. Throw Sonic Boom at her over and over, because that works against everyone. This is Guile's best matchup! Zeku is not so strong. Most Zeku players are cheaters though, who have hacked the game to replace him with Strider Hyriu from Marvel Vs. Capcom. Can't beat a cheater, so just take the loss and report them. Watch out for Sakura's amazing normals. The only normal she has that's bad is C.MK. Don't worry about that one, but watch out for some of those nasty moves like D/F HK. That one has a huge hitbox! Carlos Blanka makes his grand return to Street Fighter! Best choice in this matchup is to make sure you're on the "Bison's Lair" stage, and press Start so that a big picture of Guile from the movie covers all of the monitors. It will distract them and you'll win easy. This character is OP. Why did they give Cammy a stick. That's not fair. This is Street Fighter, not Street Sticker! Whatever political party you like, Cody is a member of the opposite party, which means he's a threat to America that has to be stopped! You're an American, it's your duty to protect the president, not fight him! The only joke is how terrible Sagat is in this game. This isn't Virtua Fighter, so you'll be fine. Pretty much a mirror matchup. Both have handcuffs. Rely on your spacing and hope for the best. I dunno, don't get hit by Ein Trigger? I got nothing. There's really no reason to actually explain this matchup. If you've played it, you know exactly what to do. Oh god no. Not again. Why. Don't let him get meter or he'll come back from the dead. Banned at tournaments, but allowed to be used online? Why????

As of December 2016, NuckleDu has won Capcom Cup using Guile. This is the first time an American has won Capcom Cup. Did this mean that he used my guide? I'm not going to say that he did, but I'm also not going to say that he didn't. Maybe it's a coincidence? You be the judge. On top of that, NOBODY HAS EVER WON CAPCOM CUP ON SFV WITHOUT USING GUILE. Ok fine, but Guile was the first one to get a CPT outfit. If you haven't jumped on the freedom train, the time is now. The next NuckleDu could be you!

If that's not enough, Daigo plays Guile, which means you should too, because everyone knows that copying Daigo is the correct way to play Street Fighter, and everything else is wrong.

Guile got some changes in Season 2, making him even more the best character in the game than he already was. He got a new special move. F+LK: Bazooka Knee. This is not the first time he had 3 special moves, as this was a special move in Alpha 3 as well. Some may ask: "Didn't he already have that move"? Yes, but since it wasn't safe, since all special moves (Hadouken, Bycicle Kicks, Spinning Pile Driver, Shoryuken) are safe on block.

Also, Flash Kick now fires anti-air projectiles. This means you're not going to get hit by stuff while using your flips anymore.
EDIT: Guile ACTUALLY got flash kick projectiles in Season 3. I'm a damn prophet.

Season 3 is out and Street Fighter is good once more. You can stop playing Tekken now.

Now that SFV is once again a good game, you should start playing it again. V-Trigger 2 is bad and you should never use it, ever. It's not like it lets you get free hit confirms into 20% of the opponent's life for one bar or anything. Because that would be insane. Guile's not top tier or anything guys, don't worry about it.

It's the same as Season 3. Guile got a few changes that literally don't matter. Sagat is on his way, and this is a reminder if you drop Guile for another zoner you're a dirty commie!
