5 reasons why you're a god in Legend, but get completely destroyed in Cataclysm.

This is a general mistake even seasoned players sometimes make. If you're split from your team for any reason, your first priority is to get back to them. This overrides every other priority except killing specials.

When you're alone, you cannot make a single mistake. When you're with the team, your mistakes don't get punished as hard, so you can get away with a lot more.

Being able to instant clear disablers with melee is really powerful, and sticking close means faster clears, less damage taken and less deaths.

Green rats and berserkers are things you normally cannot take on alone. If you try, most often you just die on the spot.

Hold block. It's the ultimate counter to berserkers. Don't even try to attack if you can't recognize their animations. Not killing enemies for 3 seconds is a much better outcome than going down and then not killing enemies up to potentially 5 minutes, if you die too.

Don't clump up with your teammates to be able to tell if a berserker is on you or not. Whoever is not getting targeted should whack them.

If you have a ranged weapon, you need to drop what you're doing and shoot the specials. If you take a hit from trash, so be it, but you prevented a potential wipe.

Disablers (Assassin, Hook, Leech) and Blightstormers are the highest priority.

At least 2 people should focus on specials in a team so they can clear eachother from disablers. No, the elf will not kill all of them alone.

Here are some indicators of when you should chug a potion or throw a bomb without question:

• You are down at least 1 player and multiple elites are on screen
  
• You aggroed a patrol
  
• 2 people go down
  
• You have a str pot quest grail knight and there are more than 10 elites+specials in play (potion only)
  
• You feel like the run is in slight danger (boss trigger+berserkers, 3+ disablers, etc)

Proxy is the best charm trait for anyone but high DPS or boss killer classes (BH,Shade,GK). You don't need Decanter, it will not help you clear cataclysm maps. Proxy is more than enough. Boss killers should take Concoction.

Stop looking at monsters/bosses. When there are multiple enemies on the field, get into the habit of just looking as far away from the bosses as possible.

Even as a boss killing career, as long as your surroundings are not fully clear, you should focus on killing horde to make room to kill the boss. It's not going to cast lightning bolt and kill you if you don't kill it in 0.7 seconds

They are the least threatening enemy in the game. Yes. Pink rats are scarier than the boss. Go kill them. Bosses can be fully neutralized by simply blocking and dodging away.

If you are looking at a boss for more than 1 second, you f*cked up. If you use your career ability (ult) on the boss as anything but bounty hunter, double stab grail knight, shade or piercing waystalker, you f*cked up.

EXCEPTIONS are when a chaos spawn grabs someone, stagger abilities instantly free whoever is grabbed, or use them to knock the boss off of ledges, but that's not as common.
