Newcomers Guide
Basics
This is known as a 'Wound' an can be cleared by the following:
- Heal a teammate with a 'First Aid Kit' to clear their AND your 'Wound'
- Using ANY Heroes third lv5 Talent to clear the 'Wounds' of the entire party by healing yourself next to them
- Consuming a 'Healing Draught' or using a 'First Aid Kit' on yourself
For example:
- Kerillian's 'Volley Crossbow' only usable by the 'Shade' career
- Kerillian's 'Deepwood Staff' only usable by the 'Sister of the Thorn' DLC career
There is also the case of careers being locked to 'Meele' weapons only.
For example:
- Slayer which can have throwing axes HOWEVER you need the Winds of Magic DLC!
- 'Warrior Priest of Sigmar' DLC career
- 'Grail Knight' DLC career
If you want to know the maximum 'Hero Power' you can get.
It is 650 summed up by your Hero level + Equipment power.
- Blacksmith locked to Hero Power 5 and has no properties
- White has no properties and a random Hero Power
- Green has one random property and a random Hero Power
- Blue has two random properties and a random Hero Power
- Exotic has two random properties, a Trait and a random Hero Power
- Veteran has two maxed out properties, a Trait and a max Hero Power of 300
The 'Properties' can be rerolled by using one Green + Blue Dust.
The 'Traits' can be rerolled by using one Exotic Dust.
Getting what you want can only be achieved by praying to RNGesus.
[Keep in mind that some 'Properties' can not be combined together as they would increase the damage against some enemies by 20% if they were possible]
Here you want to equip the gear you would like to upgrade.
Now press on the little 'Cog' next to it.
This will open a page with more detailed information about the weapon aswell as the properties, traits and weapon 'Illusion' which can be changed from here.
Don't use the 'Crafting' Tab unless you are 'Salvaging', crafting a new weapon or are downgrading 'Dust' for more rerolls Good luck!
Attacking
M1 does a light attack and depending on your weapon you can do different combos
Holding M1 does a 'Charge attack' which does more damage.
Depending on the weapon the charge does NOT need to be held until the animation ends to do more damage.
Blocking by holding M2 and then holding M1 to do a 'Push Attack'.
Using Victor Saltzpyre at lv35 (max level) as the 'Zealot' with a 'Power 5' Blacksmith weapon with no talents selected as example with only meele headshots and weapons that do the same damage no matter what combo you do:
This can be increased through different means:
- Choose a Career like 'Shade' or 'Witch Hunter Captain' which has an unlisted +5% crit chance
- 'Pyromancer' Career Passive that grants up to +30% crit chance
- Rolling crit chance on your equipped 'Trinket' and 'Weapon' for up to +5% crit chance each
- Choosing a 'Talent' that increases your crit chance
- +10% Elven Axe
- +10% Dual Swords
- +10% Dual Daggers
- +10% Sword & Dagger
- +10% Axe (Bardin, Saltzpyre)
- +20% Axe & Falchion
- +25% Elven Greatsword

NOTES
This is a guide to refresh my memory when picking up the game again after a break and helping my friend understand it better. I will add more information when I feel like it but don't expect anything related to 'Winds of Magic' as mentioned in the guide I ain't into that. I could buy it purely for the one weapon each class gets and the final mission but that is about it.
+ I might add pictures in the future when I feel like taking screenshots and editing those
