I avoided this truck for a long time due mainly to the mailslot window, but I ended up liking it more than I thought I would

Window does have the mail slot thing going on but wasn't as bad as I expected. I can get used to it

Beautifully readable distance to empty, I love that
Mirrors seem fine
Pulls hard but won't beat your grandmother's wheelchair out of the blocks, takes a year getting up to freeway speed with a 57k load. I don't know anything about the king of the hill motor but it feels a lot like an oldschool long-stroke motor: will pull stumps out of the ground but takes its time getting up to speed. Anyone who's ridden a harley knows what these motors feel like. Lots and lots of low end torque.
Steering not as bad as on the 579 but definitely on the twitchy side, steering on other rigs is much more forgiving. There are some plusses to peterbilt steering, like cars are much more leery about a) passing me b) tailgating me c) being anywhere around me. But the next time one of you AI clowns brake checks me it's mad max time
Exhaust sound is forgettable ie I just got out of the truck and can't remember what it sounded like. I grabbed a couple exhaust mods from the workshop I'm going to try so I can maybe get this to sound like not a camry

I really liked the VNL 300 day cab so I bought this one

digital section unreadable in 1440dpi (for me)

mirrors are fine
drinks gas
no dashboard GPS (or I didn't buy the dash that had it somehow)(but I don't think one did)(literally how)

I liked this truck better than I thought I would
windshield visibility a lot better than I expected
digital 'greenscreen' dash section was unreadable (for me)
dash very oldschool with lots of dials and gauges
GPS was positioned half behind the F5 GPS which I usually use
driver's mirror a little too far out and angled weird, I would have angled it inward more. The truck I bought for some reason didn't have a convex mirror, thus-->
huge blind spot
exhaust sound was underwhelming but sort of how I'd expect a kenworth to sound
felt like it wallowed in the curves. I bro suggested I tighten up the suspension setting which I might try

I ended up liking this truck a lot. I usually put under 5k miles on a truck before switching to try another, but I drove this one for like 15k miles

dash GPS sitting partially behind the F5 GPS
Distance to empty visible on 1440dpi (if you really like a visible DTE this is important)
steering feels VERY twitchy in this rig, I use mouse/keyboard which is a little jank anyway, but in this truck it's WAY easy to oversteer and go off the road, swerve all over the lanes, bash into cars, cause cars to pile up behind you, and if you didn't have the traffic tickets thing turned off you'd be on nevada's 10 most wanted (dont ask me how I know this)

Probably my favorite truck in the game so far

Dash is beautiful, nice readable distance to empty
S13+T14 powertrain doesn't use gas at all. If you want to unhitch and go exploring this is the truck to do it in
S13+T14 weren't the fastest pulling 40k over the rockies on I70 but it did ok
(actually the peterbilt 389 wasn't fast either)
not sure how heavy I'd want to go with this powertrain
