Getting the rarest Civilization V achievements #1 - Empire of the Smoky Skies

Introduction

Empire of the Smoky Skies is a scenario based on a steampunk world where five factions are competing against each other. It is also one of the most unique scenarios in Civilization V, since it features new materials and an entirely different tech tree. There aren't many achievements for this scenario, and completing them shouldn't be difficult.

General Information

The scenario has five separate titles (as can be seen below), and in order to win, you must hold at least 3 of them for five consecutive turns. The titles represent the following:

Defender of Progress - having the most of the latest Landships
Grand Philanthropist - having the most wonders
Captain of Industry - having a city with the highest production
Lord of Refinement - having the most social policies
Master of Wealth - having the highest gold income

There are 4 achievements for this scenario

Modern Major-General - 2.2%

Win the Empires of the Smoky Skies scenario
Self-explanatory, you get this achievement by winning the scenario. I will go over the best (in my opinion) strategy in other sections

Gentlemen's Agreement - 1.2%

Share intrigue with another player in the Empires of the Smoky Skies scenario
Once you start the game, you will be able to send spies to other civilizations. After some turns, your spies will uncover intrigues, and you can share them with other players by clicking on the announcement (bottom right corner) and then selecting the "share intrigue" option

Quite Accomplished - 2.3%

Retain control of the same honorable title for the entire length of the game it is available in the Empire of the Smoky Skies scenario
Although this is the most common achievement of the 4, it is a bit more difficult than the others.

The easiest way to get it is to play as Orlin (who has production bonuses), and then building as many wonders as possible (please note that national wonders count as well).

The first step is to select proper initial policies. I recommend the following since they give you bonus production and bonuses for wonders. Afterwards, simply continue completing these trees.

The next step is to start building wonders. It doesn't matter which ones you choose - the more, the better. Afterwards, select the Noblesse Oblige technology - once you discover it, make sure you have more wonders than other players.

Sky Admiral - 0.8%

Destroy an enemy unit with a Flyer based at a Sky Fortress in the Empires of the Smoky Skies scenario
Research the Sky Fortress technology, build a Sky Fortress, then put a Flyer on it and kill a unit. Flyers are powerful against ground units but weak against other Flyers.

You may need to build several Sky Fortresses for this one.

And that's all!

Part #2 will be coming out soon!
